Georgetown Community Centre endeavours to support local families, businesses and organisations by providing facilities, services and accommodation for hire at affordable rates.
The Centre has a wide range of facilities available to the community, including a large Function Hall with IT/Multimedia equipment, Cafe and Kitchen for in-house catering. Offices, Meeting and Training Rooms of varying sizes, one with Galley Kitchen.
The Cafe is open to the public on Tuesdays from 10.00am till 12.00 noon and is a focal point for local residents to meet for a chat and share a coffee and a home made scone.
The Centre is managed by a small voluntary Management Committee and is unfortunately not manned on a full time basis.
Opening Times: Variable, by arrangement.
Directions: Heading along Georgetown Road from Annan Road, away from the town centre, the Centre is located on the right hand side 50 metres past the Gillbrae Road roundabout at the Spar Shop.
Parking: There are two large lined car parks on site.
Rear Car Park : 30 lined spaces.
Front Car Park : 20 lined spaces, 2 disabled and 6 unlined spaces.
Disabled: Access: The ground floor is fully accessible, unfortunately there is no lift to offer access to upper floors of the building. The building is also accessible for Guide Dogs
Toilets: Male, Female and Disabled. Baby Changing Facilities are also available.
External Areas: There is an small play park complete with safety matting and 5 aside grass football pitch available for use all set within secure fencing/wall.
The Committee are always looking for ideas to enhance the facilities and activities currently on offer at the Centre.
